Is it for my BMW?

YES, if you have one of these BMWs:

• 3 Series E30 (1982-1994): 2-door and 4-door, Touring (estate) and convertible (cabriolet).
• 7 Series E32 (1986-1994): including the long-wheelbase versions.
• 5 Series E34 (1988-1996): saloon and Touring (estate).

It's NOT for you if:

• Your BMW already has factory angel eyes: halo rings can't be fitted to it. If its rings use bulbs, what it needs is the LED angel eye bulbs; if they're factory LED rings, check with us.
• Your BMW is a different model: the 3 Series E36 and the 5 Series E39 (up to 08/2000) have their own kit. We don't have a kit for the 7 Series E38 at the moment. For any other BMW, see which option is right for it on the LED angel eye bulbs and kits page.

Message us before buying if:

• You're not sure whether yours is an E30, E32 or E34: a 3 Series from 1990 to 1994, a 7 Series from 1994 or a 5 Series from 1995 or 1996 may already be the next model (E36, E38 or E39), which doesn't use this kit. An easy way to tell: the 3 Series E30 has four separate round headlights, each with its own lens.
• Your headlights aren't the originals (aftermarket, or with rings already fitted).

Looking at the headlights helps, but it isn't foolproof: rings fitted later may not light up because of a blown bulb or a fault, and replacement headlights can look like the originals.

All three have four round lights (two per side), and the rings go around each one. The kit is for their original headlights. There are different types of headlight depending on the year and version (some 7 Series E32 cars from 1991 onwards have xenon headlights): from your VIN and your photos, we'll confirm that the kit is the right one for your headlights.

Installation: for professionals only

The rings go inside the headlight. In 99% of cases, the headlight has to be removed and opened by separating the lens with heat, then the rings are fitted and the headlight is resealed. It must be done by a professional with extensive headlight experience: if it's done badly, the headlight can break or end up poorly sealed and let in moisture or water.

Ask a headlight specialist workshop for an installation quote. These headlights are decades old, so also ask the workshop to check the headlights' condition and seals. Properly fitted, the rings sit neatly integrated in the headlight for a clean finish.

Once you've completed your purchase, we'll send you a link where you can provide:

• Your VIN (vehicle identification number): 17 characters; it appears on your vehicle registration document (the V5C logbook in the UK) and other official vehicle papers.
• Two photos of the front of your car: one with the lights on (sidelights are enough) and one with the lights off.

Also let us know if the headlights have been replaced or rings have been fitted before. With this information, we check the kit you've bought, making sure that your BMW is an E30, E32 or E34 without rings fitted and that the kit is the right one for your headlights. Your order only ships once this check is complete: if we spot any discrepancy, we'll contact you before we send anything. Can I fit it if my BMW already has factory angel eyes?

No. The kit is only for cars that don't have them as standard, and that includes every E30, E32 and E34: none of them came with angel eyes from the factory.
