H8 LED angel eye bulbs or white halo ring kit for BMW (pure white angel eyes)

Turn your BMW's angel eyes white (the sidelight rings). Choose based on what your car has:

• Bulb-powered factory rings? → LED bulbs. They replace the bulbs in the rings so they look white. You don't need to know whether your headlight takes an H8 or another type: we identify it from your VIN.
• No factory rings? → Halo ring kit. The kit on this page is only for the 1 Series E81, E82, E87 and E88 with halogen headlights and the X3 E83 (professional installation, not included). For other models, check under “Compatibility” whether there's a kit for yours.
• Rings already factory LED? → These options aren't for you. Ask us.

How to tell what your car has

Switch on the sidelights only (on the light switch, the symbol with two small lamps) and look at the headlights from the front; with the lights off, the rings show up as translucent circles around each lens. This test is a good guide, but it isn't foolproof:

• If you see rings, they may be factory-fitted or added later, for example when the headlights were replaced.
• If they don't light up, or only light up in one headlight, it may be a blown bulb: don't choose the kit on that basis alone.
• The colour isn't enough to tell whether they use a bulb or are factory LED: for that, look up your model under “Compatibility”.

If in doubt, before buying, use the expert chat button (further up) and send us your VIN and two photos of the front of your car (one with the sidelights on and one with the lights off); also tell us if the headlights have been replaced or rings were fitted previously. We'll confirm which option you need.

The options on this page

LED bulbs · Normal, High or Extreme (for bulb-powered factory rings)

• We send you the ones your headlight takes, whether they're H8 or another type: usually 2, one per headlight. All three brightness levels are available for every bulb type, and each level costs the same whatever your bulb type.
• All three give white light; the result depends on your headlight and its light guides. If you're unsure which brightness to choose, ask us.
• They're swapped from the back of the headlight, without opening it. We recommend having it done by a garage or someone with experience: on some models there's little room and a cover has to be removed or the headlight taken out of the car.
• They're only for the angel eye rings, not for fog lights. Looking for a standard replacement halogen H8? H8 12 V 35 W OEM halogen bulb.

LED halo ring kit + wiring (1 Series and X3 E83)

• Only for the 1 Series E81, E82, E87 and E88 with halogen headlights and the X3 E83 without factory angel eyes: if your BMW already has them, these rings can't be fitted to it. If it has bulb-powered factory rings → LED bulbs; if they're factory LED or rings fitted later → ask us before buying.
• Includes 4 LED halo rings (2 per headlight), wiring and a manual in Spanish. Headlights not included: the rings go inside your own.
• Delicate installation, for professionals only: in 99% of cases, the headlight has to be removed, opened with heat and resealed. It must be done by a professional with extensive headlight experience: if it's done badly, the headlight can break or end up poorly sealed and let in moisture or water.
• Professional installation not included in the price: get an installation quote before buying so you know the total cost.
• Prefer not to open your headlights? If your 1 Series was built up to 2011, we have complete headlights with angel eyes for the 1 Series with halogens; if it's later, ask us.

After you buy: we check your option before shipping

Once you've completed your purchase, we'll send you a link where you can provide:

• Your VIN (vehicle identification number): 17 characters; it appears on your vehicle registration document (the V5C logbook in the UK) and other official vehicle papers.
• Two photos of the front of your car: one with the sidelights on and one with the lights off.

Also tell us if the headlights have been replaced or rings were fitted previously. On some models, we'll also ask you for a photo of the headlight label. With that information we check the option you've bought: if it's bulbs, we identify the ones your headlight takes; if it's the kit, we check that it matches your car. Shipping is subject to that check and, if we spot any discrepancy, we'll contact you before shipping.

Compatibility

Find your BMW in the table. Dates are manufacturing dates and are approximate. If you don't know your model's chassis code (E87, E90…) or whether your headlights are xenon or halogen, we'll check it from your VIN. If your version isn't listed, see the sections below the table.

To be checked from your VIN (send it to us before buying): 3 Series E92 and E93 from 03/2010 or with halogen headlights (depending on the equipment, some have factory LED rings); 7 Series F01, F02, F03 and F04 from 07/2012 (probably factory LED rings); X1 E84 with xenon and adaptive headlights from 07/2012; X5 E70 with halogen headlights (2007-2013).

These options aren't for you: factory LED rings. There's no bulb to change; ask us. This applies to the X5 E70 facelift with xenon (from 2010), the X6 E71 with adaptive LED headlights, the Z4 E89 from 03/2013, and the 5 Series F10 and F11, 3 Series F30 and F31 and X3 F25 with xenon or LED headlights.

No factory rings and no kit for now (ask us): 7 Series E38, Z4 E85 and E86, X1 E84 with halogens, 3 Series F30 and F31 with halogens, and X3 F25 pre-facelift with halogens.

Frequently asked questions

Does one bulb light up both rings in the headlight?

On many models, yes: one bulb per headlight powers its two rings through the factory light guides. Depending on the model and the condition of those guides, the outer ring may look less bright than the inner one. If it's barely visible on your car, message us and we'll look into it with you.

Will I get a warning on the dashboard?

The H8 bulbs have built-in CANBUS, designed to prevent the bulb-failure warning; for other bulb types, we'll confirm it from your VIN. If a warning does appear on your car, message us and we'll look into it with you.

Why do you sometimes ask for a photo of the headlight label?

On some models the bulb type depends on the headlight manufacturer, and the VIN isn't enough to tell. The headlight label tells us; if we need it, we'll ask you for it after your purchase. You don't need to identify the bulb yourself.

Can I fit the halo ring kit if my BMW already has factory angel eyes?

No: the kit is only for cars without factory angel eyes. If yours has bulb-powered ones, you need the LED bulbs; if they're factory LED or were fitted later, ask us before buying.

Do you sell complete headlights with angel eyes?

For a car that doesn't come with factory angel eyes, only for the 1 Series E81, E82, E87 and E88 with halogens, built up to 2011: complete headlights with angel eyes for the 1 Series (if yours is later, ask us). We also sell genuine BMW replacement headlights, identical to the factory ones, but they aren't designed for adding rings to a car that doesn't have them. For all other models, LED bulbs or a halo ring kit; if in doubt, ask us with your VIN.
