The new Ambient Air fragrance concept has been specially developed to meet the needs of the discerning BMW driver. Ambient Air fragrances create an exclusive and pleasant ambience in the vehicle interior, ensuring maximum comfort even on long journeys. In addition, a wide selection of different fragrances enables BMW drivers to make their vehicles even more exquisite and individual. Eight multifaceted fragrances have been created for the optional Ambient Air package (SA 4NM), divided into four different suites. Each suite represents a distinct fragrance atmosphere and contains a light fragrance (No. 1) and a more intense one (No. 2). Each fragrance must be ordered separately, as this is not a combination package.
The various Ambient Air suites create special fragrance worlds in the vehicle interior, making a lasting contribution to the well-being of the BMW driver. The small, handy shape of the fragrance cartridges ensures that they can be easily installed and removed from the glove compartment. The design of the high-quality fragrance cartridges is based on the exclusivity of the interior and features the BMW emblem clearly visible in the centre of the cartridge.
Up to two fragrance cartridges can be installed in the diffuser located in the glove compartment. The intensity of the fragrances can be regulated by the iDrive Controller, according to the driver's wishes. The lifespan of a fragrance cartridge is approximately 6 months (at medium intensity and 1 hour of use per day). Ambient Air fragrances are emitted by a veil soaked in fragrance oil, which is safely sealed in the cartridge and therefore cannot leak into the vehicle interior.
The Golden Suite exudes sensuality and aromatic warmth.
Like a bazaar of sensual aromas, the delicate scents of patchouli, violet and vanilla unfold in Golden Suite No. 1. With its warm accords of cedar and cardamom, tempered by a touch of honey, Golden Suite No. 2 is reminiscent of twilight in a resplendent desert.
