The OEM 61355A62209 breathalyzer monitoring device is an advanced and safe solution for integrating an alcohol-controlled immobilizer into BMW and MINI vehicles. Designed to measure the level of alcohol in the breath, this device prevents the vehicle from starting if an alcohol level higher than the permitted level is detected, thus promoting road safety and compliance with traffic regulations. This system meets the requirements of EU Regulation 2019/2144, applicable to all newly manufactured vehicles from July 2022.
This device is especially useful in the transportation of passengers to minimize the risks associated with driving under the influence of alcohol. Additionally, in some countries, it can be used as part of rehabilitation programs for drivers convicted of driving under the influence, where a court may order its installation as a condition of regaining a driving license.
